These are so darn cute and I love black olives, cream cheese, and carrots, you know I will be having me some of these.  Saw these on FB (I know, that is a bad word) but thought Lori would love these too!

Scott and I went to the falls Sunday afternoon and loved the sound of the waterfall, especially since it had rained off and on for 2 days!

One year ago today about this time in the evening, I received my phone call from Barnes Hospital Transplant Division, and 1 year ago tomorrow I will of had my transplant, a ten hour surgery.  Monday and Tuesday I will have my 1 year checkup, parts of it will be easier than others (I especially do not like the bronc).  Thank God for miracles.  I also want to thank my family for dropping everything to be by my side (every day I was in St. Louis, someone from my family was with me), for the team of doctors and nurses who cared for me, and for all the prayers sent my way. Many of you came to visit me, sent cards, and gifts. I thank you everyone!

...today is the first day of the rest of your life...

Thanks to each and every one of you for your thoughts, prayers, and cards that was sent my way when I got my phone call back in November 2011...can't hardly believe that was 7 months ago.  And I certainly could not have made it without my family...I don't even remember most of the first two weeks after the transplant.

Wednesday (6-6-12) I walked on the bike path for the first time!  It took me 29:05 minutes to go 1.03 miles (I jogged 4 minutes of that time)...I was so excited to have finally made it on the bike path!  I am still in rehab to tone up my muscles, you know those muscles I hadn't used for years.  And believe me, rehab is getting more aggressive every week, they keep finding new muscles to make sore  But I am determined to get past this phase too.

Other than some soreness I am doing really well...it was a GREAT day when I sent all the oxygen tanks, bi-pap machine and everything else out the door...I can breath now!  Oh yea, I now have made it over 100 pounds!  WhooHoo....

PS Thanks Lou and Betty for the flowers you sent me while I was in the hospital.  Every one of the nurses said they were going to take them home but I managed to make it home with them.
